Now comes the wind and the rain . . . the Monster beckons! Will he lure you to his den? Will he envelop you in his darkness?

Well, we managed to foil the weather, didn’t we?!

Thanks to all who participated, both our wonderfully dedicated volunteers and our fine contingent of competitors. And, thanks for your patience while we checked and re-checked the scores.

Chuckanut Sports Car Club presents Monster’s Revenge III.V, Ghouls and Goblins, on Saturday, October 29, 2011. This time-speed-distance touring rally takes place primarily on gravel forest roads in Skagit and Snohomish counties. We’ll have some roads familiar to past participants and a few new ones, too. Challenges await all!

After a year’s hiatus, the Monster returns to the darkened forests, home to The Monster, as well as various Ghouls and Goblins. Rallymasters Steve Perret and Kathryn Hansen welcome all Northwest rally enthusiasts to participate in this always fun and challenging event. This day into night test pits Driver and Navigator against Mother Nature, while attempting to stay exactly on time at numerous timing points throughout the course.

One clarification  – the flyer states that the event is about 35% gravel. The transits are almost all paved; the regularities are approximately 85% gravel. (We don’t want anyone to think they’ll be shorted gravel smiles!)

Pre-registration  is now closed. Entry cap at 40 vehicles;  registrations will be accepted onsite on Saturday, Oct. 29, not to exceed an entry list of 40 vehicles. All teamsmust check-in at Registration, and numbers will be assigned.

Location information for start location: Bob’s map. Gas at Shell, 76, and Pacfic Pride fuel. Food & beverage – Bob’s, Subway, Panino Cafe, Starbuck’s, Jack-in-the-Box all within 2 bocks. Mount Vernon and Burlington (just south) have plentful opportunities for your Rally day needs.
