Pre-registration is now closed for Monster’s Revenge — Virgins No More. This fun Monte Carlo style Time-Speed-Distance Rally takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2009. We’ve still got a few spaces left on the entry list, so come on up and join the fun!
Monster’s Revenge II starts at the Skagit Valley Casino (www.theskagit.com) in Bow, Washington (I-5 exit 236) and finishes at Alfy’s Pizza in Sedro Woolley.
On site registration will start at 11:30am with Competitor’s Briefing at 12:20pm and first car out at 1:00pm. We’ll hold a Novice talk at 12:00pm. We’ll be finishing about 9:30pm-10:05pm.
Roads will be a mix of tarmac and gravel, and we’ve tried really hard to find fewer potholes this time . . . the Monster will be the final judge!
We completed our pre-run of the entire course today. To our delight, the roads are all still there, we did not have to cut out any windfall, and there was no flooding. We did encounter fresh snow on one section (about 3 miles of it), and have written up a solution that you’ll receive at Registration. We also encountered a Snohomish County Deputy and a National Forest Service representative. They are looking for suspicious activity. They know that we have a valid Forest Service permit to conduct the event. They may be in the woods tomorrow, so, as always, please be on your best behavior.
